About the Task Force

National Supply Chain Reform Task Force 2003 - 04

Vision

An optimal end-to-end health supply chain that delivers improved patient care while reducing the cost of doing so.

Definition of an optimal supply chain: An optimal supply chain plans for the right things and executes all processes right, first time, every time. Processes are streamlined, fast and reliable, information is transparent (accurate and shared), all forms of error and waste are eliminated, and the total cost of the supply chain is minimised.

Mission

The National Supply Chain Reform Task force will encourage, facilitate and collaborate on supply chain reform initiatives to drive uptake to critical mass in health.

Objectives of the Task Force are to drive supply chain reform in the Australian health sector through its working groups:

  • ECTP and STDS - Electronically Connecting Trading Partners and Standards
  • PM - Performance Management
  • SCTAC - Standardised Contract Terms and Conditions
  • TPE - Trading Partner Engagement

Deliverables that meet these objectives are further detailed in the Work Plans of the Task Force Working Groups.

Task Force and Working Group Members
